Adam joined Braemar’s Houston office in April 2013. With MS and BS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Ohio State University, he is a licensed professional engineer in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Ohio. Adam previously worked for ExxonMobil’s Research & Engineering Company (EMRE) as a fixed equipment engineer, later working for S-E-A, a forensic engineering and cause and origin firm, as a project engineer, consulting as a mechanical engineering expert to investigate accidents and losses in support of claims adjusting, subrogation, and litigation.

Adam has surveyed, investigated, and adjusted claims relating to refineries and other petrochemical plants; gas processing facilities, gathering systems and compressor stations; onshore and offshore platforms and drilling units. These claims have included physical damage (including OIL), time element, control of well, warranty, and general liability. Adam’s background in engineering, forensics, and accident investigation uniquely equip him to investigate and understand complex losses, providing great value and insight to clients. Adam relocated to the Columbus, Ohio, area in October 2014 to set up a new Braemar field office. The Columbus office is strategically located to support claims relating to the Marcellus and Utica oil and gas plays, refining and chemical processing plants, power generation, and other energy related activities in the region.

Chuck joined Braemar in 1997 with some 14 years adjusting experience and 10 years field experience behind him. Chuck’s 4 years with Wild Well Control naturally led to his early specialisation in well control claims. Further experience and training has resulted in a broad track record that includes rig physical damage, onshore property, major offshore construction and package policy claims.

Chuck’s broad experience has been vital to the successful management of a varied case load that includes the settlement and negotiation of major refinery claims totalling in excess of a billion dollars and countless hurricane claims encompassing physical damage, control of well and loss of production income.

Chuck now supports the operational management of a team of experienced adjusters, the allocation of resources to ensure the efficient handling of the office case load, and continues to encourage and recruit new talent into the industry.

Troy is an experienced mechanical engineer with a doctorate in materials and corrosion engineering. Prior to joining Braemar in July 2015, Troy worked as a Senior Corrosion Engineer consulting and leading international projects on internal and external corrosion issues in the upstream and midstream industries, developing an internal corrosion predictive model for use in offshore erosion-corrosion of downhole tubing (published and presented at NACE CORROSION 2015), and securing government funding to support company research into microbially influenced corrosion.

Troy’s PhD research involved hydrogen degradation mechanisms in steel including Hydrogen Induced Cracking, Hydrogen Embrittlement, and Stress Corrosion Cracking. Also part of this process was a research-level forensic analysis of the failure process experienced by an in-service pipeline. Troy’s other experience in the energy industry includes: Pipe Stress Engineering for an EPCM company, Analytical/Environmental Chemistry with a contract laboratory, and upstream plant and battery operations for a major exploration and production company.
